Some of our current and recent Electrical Installation projects are:
The Palms Apartments stages 1 and 2 are four and five storey Elder Care facilities situated near the beach at Papamoa. Complete electrical installation of these buildings included separate tenant metering, communal TV distribution, emergency lighting and nurse call facilities.
The upgrading of 25 class rooms for the Tauranga Boys’ College was to facilitate the modern teaching and learning environment. These rooms included Science Laboratory, Computer Suites and general teaching areas. We also designed and installed the new hockey field flood lighting system.
The upgrading of three workshops for the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic was timed to fit into the end of the year teaching break. This was a complex project because of the tight time frame and number of trades working in the area. Timing of work and material supplies was critical because of the possible delays due to the Christmas holidays. This project was completed successfully. Installation and commissioning of a 170kVA standby generator system for the IT Department.
We have carried out various projects within saw mills from mill relocation and installation to yard floodlighting. We also specialise in preventative maintenance scheduling and breakdown repairs.
The modern medical centres have a range of specific requirements. The Switch Team have completed three of these with the last one also including the data cabling and patch panel installation.
Current projects include 2 multi level apartment complexes which incorporate such added features as nurse call, data and T.V. distribution. For one of these complexes Switch Electrical are the Electrical Designers. We are also the Electrical Designers and contractors for the upgrading of a Hospice where the owners are more than doubling the size of the facility.
Switch Electrical also have staff who have specialised in industrial installation and maintenance, Electrical installation in hazardous areas, irrigation pumps, deep well pump and frost protection for the horticultural industry.
