Andy Bowkett  -  Director
Commercial Manager


As well as his responsibilities as a Director Andy manages the Commercial Division. He was trained in the U.K. in the Industrial Town of Grimsby in Lincolnshire. Andy started his trade with domestic housing and then moved to the petrochemical and food industries where valuable experience of these processes were gained. Since moving to New Zealand Andy has concentrated on commercial buildings specialising in Apartment Complexes and Elder Care installations both in electrical design and project management.
 

Mark Grayling – Director
Industrial Manager


Mark also takes his role as a Director seriously as well as managing the Industrial Division. Mark grew up in Katikati and served his electrical apprenticeship with a local electrician. As he completed his apprenticeship Mark was named the New Zealand Electrical Apprentice of the year. This was due in part to the selection team recognising his wide range of electrical knowledge. Mark furthered his experience working on projects such as the reopening of the Martha Mine in Waihi and dairy factory work through out New Zealand where strict hygiene and work standards were required.
 

John Hayes - Residential Project Manager

Since gaining his Electrical Registration in Auckland John has extended his experience by working in England, Scotland, Zimbabwe and South Africa. Johns extensive knowledge of the residential market, along with his ability to understand the clients requirements and to work through these to a successful conclusion is one of his strong points. He has been instrumental in the electrical design of show homes and houses entered into the Master Builders “House of the Year” contests.
 

David Hennessey – Projects and Design Manager

David served his apprenticeship in Tauranga in a wide variety of areas from domestic homes through fire alarm systems to quarry maintenance. Once qualified he gained additional experience in multi apartment dwellings, pack houses, saw mill and wood finishing machine maintenance. Gaining registration as an Electrical Inspector David moved into the electrical reticulation industry where he spent many years in electrical reticulation design and project management. Before joining the Switch team David was employed as an Electrical Engineer with a team of Consulting Engineers. In  this role  he was responsible for the electrical design, specification and or  construction supervision of such projects as apartment blocks, College Technical Block Refurbishment, Youth Theatre, Commercial Buildings and a new Land Fill development. Since joining the Switch Team David has been accredited as a Hazardous Area Electrical Inspector.


Peter Murfitt ­– Projects Supervisor

Peter served his apprenticeship in Hamilton in the domestic and commercial areas. He gained experience in Fire Alarms, air conditioning electrical mechanical and the farming sector. Peter moved into the lighting industry, working for Thorn NZ Ltd where he developed his lighting design skills, which now is one of his strong points. Peter is experienced in the quotation and project management side of the business.
